💗 In honor of my mother — and every woman who needs God’s peace in the unknown

There are moments in life when fear becomes louder than reason. Moments when your body changes in ways you don’t understand. Moments when doctors aren’t sure, tests take time, and your heart feels fragile.

I lived those moments with my mother. And through every appointment, every symptom, every prayer whispered through tears — God carried us.

These scriptures became anchors. They held me steady when nothing else could.

When Your Body Is Changing and You’re Afraid

Breast changes like redness, swelling, warmth, or skin texture differences can be terrifying — especially when they appear suddenly. Many women don’t know these can be signs of Inflammatory Breast Cancer.

In those moments of fear, this scripture held me:

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” — Psalm 56:3

Fear doesn’t mean you lack faith. Fear means you need God close — and He is.

When You Need Strength for the Journey

Illness, uncertainty, and waiting drain the spirit. But God restores what fear tries to steal.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever‑present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

His strength doesn’t replace yours — it fills the places where yours runs out.

When You’re Waiting for Answers

Waiting is one of the hardest parts. Waiting for imaging. Waiting for antibiotics to work. Waiting for clarity.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Stillness doesn’t mean inactivity — it means trusting God while you take the next step.

My mother’s symptoms were mistaken for infection. She was given antibiotics. Her symptoms worsened.

God gave me courage to speak up — even when I was scared.

When You Feel Alone in Your Fear

Illness isolates. Uncertainty isolates. Grief isolates.

But God never leaves.

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5

Even when you feel alone, you are held.

There were moments during my mother’s diagnosis when peace felt impossible. But God gave it anyway.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds.” — Philippians 4:7

Peace doesn’t mean the storm stops — it means God stands in it with you.

When You’re Grieving and Trying to Heal

Grief is heavy. But God is gentle.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” — Psalm 34:18

He doesn’t rush your healing. He walks with you through it.
